As Halloween approaches, the Butler County Civil War Roundtable is sponsoring its 3rd annual Downtown Butler Ghost Walk taking place @ 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings on the last two weekends in October. (Fridays October 18 and 25, Saturdays October 19 and 26). This 60 minute chilling event begins in Butler’s Diamond Park directly across from the Butler County Courthouse.
The Butler Ghost Walk takes spectators on a guided walking tour of Diamond Park and the adjacent Main Street business district. Participants will experience the ghosts from Butler’s historic past through tour guide Bill May’s stories of the ghosts of Sam Mohawk, the Notorious Outlaws-The Biddle Boys/Mrs. Soffel, The Elevator Ghost, The Chinese Laundry Murder, The Phantom Civil War Regiment and many others.
Many of the participants on the walk have called tour guide Bill May an amazing storyteller, a dynamic and energetic speaker, and a ghost walk to rival any ghost walk in the country!!!!
